Founders Park, Nelson

A number of members from Camera Clubs in the top of the South Island have gathered in Nelson for an intensive two days of workshops. These workshops are being run by the Photographic Society of New Zealand and are intended to introduce us to the principles of judging photographs for local club and regional competitions. After this weekend we can chose to go on to more intensive training in order to become accredited Judges with the PSNZ. We may find at the end of this preliminary training that becoming a judge is not for us but that what we have learned will be of great benefit to our own individual photography goals.
The venue is at Founders Park which is Nelson’s historical park with old and replica buildings and places of interest on site. It is a great place to visit in any case and we are enjoying our time here. I managed to capture a few images within the park during an afternoon tea break. In this image a family group are heading out of the park after attending a birthday party. They looked like they had good fun! 9 45 pm and we are just back at our unit at Tahunanui Beach Motor Camp after an excellent evening out at the Anchor....Another busy day tomorrow......
