Chicago from the river

Another busy day a the conference. The room was over air conditioned and most of us were sitting shivering in coats, jackets and cardigans - meanwhile, out in the city, they were experiencing a heatwave with temperatures of 35 degrees.

Escaped out into the city at around 6.30 and thought about trying to find somewhere to eat but then decided to do an architectural boat tour instead. It was a bit cooler on the river and our guide was very knowledgeable. I was very tired and it was nice just sitting and hearing about the various buildings along the river front.

Bought more fruit and then went back to my nice cool room to catch up on some emails before London started work again.
