A game of whisky snap

Finished work early and came home. Glad to see the back of that week.

Tonight we are at a whisky tasting at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. This tasting is to see how good we are matching the society drams to the distillery shop releases.
As all the society bottles are individual casks and can be very different from the shop released whisky from the distilleries so it was going to be a challenge.
We have 5 society drams to match to 5 distillery bottling’s

Standard 10 year old Glen Moray
16 year old Longmorn
12 year old Highland Park
15 year old Darkest release Bowmore
12 year old Caol Ila

We both managed to match all 5 of the drams correctly. It was a good night and met some nice people on the table. Even managed to get a couple of free Caol Ila drams for winning as well as a nice mug and two society glasses.
Not sure what this says about us. Could be getting more like experts or we are just alcoholics.
