A morning peek through the rooftops reveals a bright blue sky! Delicious sausage, eggs and tomatoes bread are served for breakfast.

Today is the first preview day of the Istanbul Biennial. Two of the venues are in the 'hood so it's not too hard to navigate my way around.

This is the vintage tourist Tram that runs back and forth along Istiklal.

Post-art tea and pastries are taken just down from the Galata Tower before heading back to frock up for a do at the British Consulate. Missing the entrance and forgetting ID delays us slightly but before we know it we're on the lawn talking to other Glaswegians...

It's a short walk from there to a Terrace to soak up the view and some white wine.
