Menai Straits

Backblipped.
After being thrust out into the cold, hard world by my SO (he's working, and cue violins...), I eventually ended up in Beaumaris on Anglesey mid-morning. So, after a fortifying cuppa and some bara brith (Welsh fruit loaf, delicious and a blast from my past, having featured in childhood holidays), I settled down to some serious, well, sitting about looking at the view and taking the odd photo here and there :-)
This is looking across the straits from Beaumaris , and it was getting on for lunchtime: the sun's brightness has caused the darkening of the land and sea, which I find pleasantly dramatic along with the fantastic clouds. I've not messed about with this very much, just a little cropping.
