Monday

Being Monday we have a routine for the day, sometimes with variations but normally, as for today, weekly shop in the morning and Hospice Book Shop in the afternoon.

I worked for nearly a full afternoon and would have done so if the shop hadn’t been closing at 4pm. Today’s picture was taken in the room where I do the Amazon listings and shows some of the vinyl waiting to be sorted including this Iron Maiden classic from 1980.

The chimney sweep was here when I arrived home from the shop; it shows the colder weather is on its way as we’re preparing for open fires. We then went for coffee (Ann and I, not the chimney sweep); Pasty Presto today instead of Nero, this used to be our favourite before Nero landed in Stratford, and they still do the best coffee in town, the only drawback being the lack of a loo. By five thirty they are selling off their pasties and savoury croissants at very competitive prices, so that’s tea sorted along with the left over homemade soup from the other day retrieved from the freezer earlier.
