Afternoon Tea at the Langham

A couple of gals from church (some of my besties actually) and I have decided to start an 'Afternoon Tea Tasting Drive' kinda thing. We have a friend who has a website for HK events and we wanted to have a link to some of HK's nicer afternoon teas. It really is just an excuse to have afternoon tea as it is such a fine thing to do!!!

Today was our inaugural 'session' here at the Langham Hong Kong in TST (Tsim Sha Tsui). It's very pink in there but not overpowering. Needless to say I enjoyed being there and the atmosphere very much. There was a piano and violin playing contemporary music in the background.

The food itself was really good and they even had rose jam which I liked but nobody else did :/, maybe actually nicer than the Mandarin Oriental! They were able to produce some yummy gluten free treats for Brenda, which was very much appreciated. The Peninsula asked for 2 hours notice to produce a complete tea! Hmmm ...

Reasonably priced, great atmosphere, very posh and nice crockery, silverware, etc.

I get to choose the next venue, next month or maybe November.

We'll try and have an aim/vision for our little 'tea tasting group' soon ... Thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to the next one already.
