Bumps in the Road

Swiss Family Jag-Tower

After being blown away by the quality of our hotel, we decided to sign up for the local, organic breakfast this morning. I must say, the Croatian family that ran the B&B pulled out all the stops to make this the best stop of our trip so far. Mariga M was simply superb.

Today's highlights included a picnic on the shores of Lake Lucerne and an evening stroll along the promenade in Lugano, where the wee man attracted lots of attention from the locals with his new found theatrical skills.

We'll be staying the night in a lake side town outside of Como tonight before heading to the French Riviera tomorrow. Driving through the Swiss Alps has been amazing. So beautiful.

The wee man has been doing great. He sleeps in the car and then we wander around for a few hours before the next leg of the trip. He has been a bit more restless at nighttime though, so we're a little sleep deprived but otherwise doing fine.

The wee man's first front top tooth has definitely come through now and the next one looks close behind. He has also been eating like a trooper... Such an appetite, going to be a chubba bubba in no time! Has also been getting lots of cuddles from random hotel staff who coo at him in their native tongue and he looks at us as if to say 'what are they saying' and we just have to shrug. Stranger anxiety obviously hasn't set in yet as he seems happy to get a cuddle from anyone.
