Signs of Fall

Colours fade, insects
become listless as the heat,
light and weather change.

Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada

I picked through the bedraggled leftovers at a local nursery. 50% off motivated me to take the time to select the most robust with hopes the plants will root and survive the winter ahead of them.
Our weather has suddenly changed. Leaves are falling and blowing in the wind. We have dark, cloudy, wet mornings so unlike Kamloops in the summer. Puddles linger after a downpour.
Flies are pesky, landing and circling annoyingly. Bees are slow-moving, lethargic. The insect world is beginning to shut down.
