These are the days...

A busy day in the life...

We had a very busy day today! It started off nice and slow, like a normal Saturday. Josh even got up with the kids and I lounged in bed awhile, enjoying the solitude! After we mowed the lawn and powerwashed the fence, we headed out to get bark dust and dirt for various places in our yard. It was quite an outing!

We ended up taking the kids to lunch at the Golden Arches and Miss Mia was able to climb up the playland structure all by herself for the first time. She also came down the big yellow tunnel slide for the first time too. To celebrate, we enjoyed ice cream sundaes after the playing was complete.

We then ventured to find the bark dust place, which was a locally owned business that had a super cute little store attached to all the piles of rock, bark, dirt, etc. They had two baby pigmy goats that were a blast to pet and inside, they had a huge bucket hanging from the ceiling, that when lowered to little kid level, is filled with candy. It was the coolest and totally worth a trip back in the future. Not to mention, they had some super cute home decor stuff that I would LOVE to get my hands on.

After the outing, we got home and the kids helped unload dirt and we played baseball and used the machines to build houses in the dirt... all sorts of fun stuff. We also had a fun bath tonight, and the kids "dove" for pennies in the tub. They both had stints of being under water for 8 seconds as they tried to collect as many pennies at one time as possible. It was amazing to see how big they are and how brave they are getting in the water!

This pic was taken while we were outside getting ready to play some baseball. You'd never know from this picture that she was running around in her cute little tank top and her undies! :) Oh yeah, in order to get this smile, I told her to say tootarama. So tonight, while she was praying, she told God about me saying toot outside. Then she said, "That wasn't good. You shouldn't say toot. Next time, you need to say pickle. Okay Mama!!?" I cracked up!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
