Simple pleasures...

Oh, the simple pleasures in life. Yesterday, the kids received a package from Grandma Ave! They absolutely love receiving mail and a package is really a treat. Well, the girls each got a baby doll and a hand made quilt for their dolls. Tyler got some cool little boy toys and an envelope with three dollar bills and some change. Well, one of Tyler's favorite activities is heading to the dollar store to buy a toy. So, as soon as he saw that he got money from Grandma Ave, he wanted to go to the Dollar Store for a toy.

Well, being the numbers boy that he is, he realized that he had three dollars. and at the Dollar store, each toy costs one dollar. So, he figured there was enough for Tyler, Mia and Hannah to each go to the Dollar Store and get a toy. So this evening, we headed over (Tyler with purse on arm) so that the kids could pick out a toy with Tyler's money. He was so cute sharing and was thrilled beyond belief at another trip to the store.

This time, he bought this little soccer toy. On previous trips, he has purchased various versions of this, including skeetball, hockey, football... The list goes on. He also got another hockey game, which now makes three of the exact same toy purchased from the Dollar Store. Ha!!

A couple other things happened today worthy of mentioning. First, we went to the track this morning to run, play, etc. While we were long jumping, Mia started doing her potty dance. I told her to come to me, but instead, she dropped her pants and stood exactly like Tyler does and peed all over the long jump pit. She also got it all over herself, of course.. Kelly was dying of laughter while I was busy trying to keep things in perspective while we jetted home for some new clothes before swim lessons started.

Next, while eating lunch, I noticed some strang looking stickers on Hannah's hands. I asked her what they were, and she told her that Mia got them for her. I asked Mia where they came from and she simply pointed to the drawer. Upon further examination, I discovered that Mia had pulled off the little bumper pads for the drawers in the kitchen and placed them on Hannah's hands for stickers! Hilarious!

Kelly and I snuck out this evening for a trip to buy handsoap from our favorite spot and we ended up catching a movie. It was a total chick flick and caused me to laugh out loud in the theater numerous times. Definitely was good for my soul! :)

Now, we are looking forward to a family weekend... and if we're lucky, we'll get a few projects done around here too. Goodnight everyone!
