Aaaahhhh, Freak Out!

This was the band we had really come to see - Chic! Reliving our 70s disco past in grand style!

Another great day, although a huge storm threatened to have the whole festival cancelled. Huge winds and rain came up in the early hours and caused some problems in various areas. Luckily, everything was rectified and it got under way again at 2pm. Was amazing how many people we saw leaving last night, in anticipation of the bad weather. Wimps!

We saw Caitlin Moran this afternoon, who was very witty and amusing. Wandered around ducking into various tents, then decided that we would leave after the main event this evening as the rain and mud were beginning to get us down, so headed back to the tipi and packed up.

Managed to see the last 20 minutes of Johnny Marr, who was brilliant and we were sorry not to have seen his whole set. Then Chic! A nice man let us go and stand in front of him so we were actually quite close to the stage. Love this particular snap as it looks like Nile Rogers is smiling for my photo!!

They did all the hits as well we others that he wrote for people like Sister Sledge, David Bowie and Diana Ross, and they went off stage to Daft Punk's Get Lucky - still having number one hits now! Legend!

Then the Manic Street Preachers. I've seen them several times before, and they're always great. They did a few songs from their new album which I haven't got yet but will get soon.

The the drive home - seemed to take a long time, and I hit they hay at about 12.50am! Tired but very happy - wonderful few days!
