Thunbs Up for Stoke

Many thanks to Arachne, who blipped an image from a train as it sat in Stoke on Trent Railway Station at the end of August. I remembered the image and descided to pay a visit to the victorian station, which opened in 1848.

I was strolling up and down the platforms, trying to make sense of the scale and large vaulted roof, taking photos as I went. It's only now as I review the images that the comedy of this shot comes out. Cheerful people in north Staffordshire!
