North Pier - Blackpool

In Blackpool for a 'Grand Dinner' at the Hilton Hotel so Me & Mrs MD took the opportunity to have a stroll on the Promenade to the North Pier. The sun shone, but it was very windy - the walk along this lovely Victorian Pier was bracing to put it mildly.
This is the oldest (1863) and the longest (500m - 1650 ft) of the three Blasckpool Piers. It's a Grade II listed bulding and was designed by Eugenius Birch (now there's a name for you) who was the best pier designer of that era.
