Spinning

Another great day's fishing on the River Tay. No fish again, but it was still great to be out. The trees, wild flowers and wildlife around that area are incredible. There is so much life at this time of year, that it is almost comparable to a rainforest or jungle. I think a lot of people forget how amazing the wild places in the UK are and they are ignored by many for foreign holidays.

Had a great BBQ by the riverside for lunch and the sun shone and warmed us up in the afternoon. The salmon are still playing hard to get... as usual. But it just makes the anticipation for the next time even stronger.

This is Dave spinning - we usually fly fish, which is the best and most exciting method, but some parts of the river are more suited to spinning and it is another option when the fly doesn't work.
