After an hour contemplating old magazines in my GP's waiting room, it was a relief to escape up on the moors for the day. The promised sunshine didn't transpire, but even on a dull day it was a pleasure to head out to Thimble Stones and then back via the Rombalds Moor summit, the Twelve Apostles and Horncliffe Well.

This Fox Moth caterpillar was grazing beside the path up near the summit. It narrowly won out in a blip off with a Bilberry Bumblebee a few paces away.

Later, we went to see Celtic folk group Kan in Salatire, great music and fine musicianship,
