Rising Water

We had a late night and Lucy (Lucy is staying with us for a dew days) and Caley got a quick stretch up to the top of Maol Ruadh this morning. The beauty of this walk being that nobody needs to drive too early. (We are very sensible these days but the car is best avoided to be on the safe side)

Caley rubbed in something smelly and our best attempts to clean in the shallow burn behind the Knoll did not have him smelling of roses by amy means. He needed to have several plunges in deep clear water so I took him up to Laggan Reservoir in the late afternoon. It did the trick and he had a great run around after the ball on the flood plains too.

I have a feeling the monsoon season is close and we will see these wide flat grassy banks being slowly inundated in the next few weeks.
