End of the first day.

Back to school today, and it was a very busy one. I ended up staying in school till 6, trying to gather the best evidence I had to put in an appeal for my Higher pupils who did not achieve as much as they (or I) would have liked.

Unfortunately, the best of the kids' work went in to the exam board, so it will be very unlikely that we can make them change their minds. All we can do is ask them to listen to the material again and re-assess.

What is more worrying is that I thought their work was good. And we never get detailed feedback, so I will not be told why they were given the marks that they were.

This does nothing for the confidence - of the kids or myself.
