Flight of the Maverick

Treat of the trip today - a 55 minute helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon - incredible, especially as we flew over the edge of the canyon and Brad, our pilot dipped the nose down so we got a clear view straight down!

Loads of the pictures were of views of the canyon, but I thought a shot of one of the other helicopters against the canyon walls showed the scale well. At parts the Canyon is 18 miles wide, and 5000 feet deep. The whole canyon covers an area of almost 2,000 square miles. It's size is astonishing - almost impossible to do justice to.

Sorry it's a backblip, but towards the end of the trip we were shooting well into the evenings, and the last two nights I've only had 4-hours sleep per night. No time to blip!
