Stained Glass Wings

We've had a mini butterfly revival over the weekend, our first Small Tortoiseshell and Comma since August, and a few Speckled Woods and Small Whites about.

I never quite know when the last butterfly blip of the year will present itself; last year it was October 14, so hopefully there may still be one or two more to come.

The weather was also fine for the last day of the Saltaire festival and we had fun walking around the stalls and absorbing the festival ambience. The end of summer just as autumn begins.

And yes, this is the same sedum that's been providing so many blips recently.

If you prefer, one with wings open.
