It's a bugs life

Well I'm sitting here with the sun still shining through the window. Summer returned today with a high of 24.6 degrees. It's been glorious and I've made the most of it. The things giving away that is's actually September are the large amount of cobwebs spread across the field, plums on the tree ready for picking and my first sighting of a V of returning geese.

I went on a bug hunt earlier as there seemed to be plenty around. You can see some here
I liked this small beastie that was on a ' bunny mouth' ( Antirrhinum). Think it may be a shield bug.

Well off to make dinner now with plums from the garden and custard for pud :)
