A Monkey's Tale

Go Green

It's good for you!

I wanted to make a feature of our plethora of porch pot plants before any foreseen weather changes have any unforeseen changes on our home grown herbs. The delightful burst of sun & warmth this afternoon provided the prefect incentive.

We have our wonderful curly leafed parsley taking centre stage, nurtured from seed, the only one to survive & it's suddenly shooting up. Flanking either side is our mint which has boomed, pinched originally from the Stenhouses garden it has kept us in constant supply of a key mojito ingredient, & our basil, which although shop bought has been a delicious & fresh component of a number of homemade pesto dinners. Mmm scrumptious!

Talk of healthy-goodness is definitely in need today after yesterday's saucing shenanigans. I'm sure there's been more than a few going green with sore heads & upset tums this fine morn. I for one awoke with a slightly aching bonce.. can't think why, the liquid refreshment at Will's 18th was rich in grape & apple.. odd!?!? Oh well, that's what Will's & weekends are for!
