Dewy Morning

We had such a great start to the day. The Little Misses got up and rather than coming in to us as normal they played in each other's rooms for a bit and then - for the first time ever - got their own breakfast. It was so sweet listening to Miss E being Mummy!
And she told a joke which only a mother could laugh at:
If you have a rose and a little girl sits on it, what to you get?
An itchy dog

I know!
Miss L loved swimming again earlier. It's so great to watch her splashing about and clearly having so much fun.
Then we met Nana and went to Milton Keynes for lunch and a spot of shopping.
My Mum is refurbishing her new campervan and is on the hunt for lovely new fabric. And obviously I'm never one to turn down a trip to John Lewis!
From there we went to Ikea to look at more fabric and drink more tea.
And as we had spent too long looking at practically everything in the shop I had to drive like a maniac as fast as the law and prevailing road conditions allowed to get to school before 4.30pm to pick Miss E up.
We made it by the skin of our teeth.
And I think my mum has just about prised her hands off the dashboard and door handle!!!!
To continue the theme of rushing we rushed home, rushed to cook the Little Misses' dinner, rushed back to school with Mr K for a literacy meeting - a useful if scary reminder how we should we be approaching Miss E's reading and writing.
And Miss L's of course!
So far she's learnt the letter m and the letter a. Bless her, what a journey she's got ahead of her!
