Oasis of Calm

Managed, at long last, to stop on way to visit my Mum in her Home, and walk along the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal at Minworth. Such calm beauty. Surrounded by the sound of busy roads, and factories - but even with the rubbish in the water, it spells peace.

This is the Dickens Bridge, which carries a footpath - originally for the farmers to cross to their fields. Some of the houses along here look idyllic, with lawns bordering on the canal. The owner of the fishing rods on the left was sitting at a table in his garden, with his laptop - is there an app that tells you when the fish have bitten?
