Layers of Webs

This spider has made this same web in about 3 days on top of the previous day's work. There are fallen leaves under each layer. It is a bit like reading the rings in a tree.
I've been thinking about digging out and separating this Pulmnaria sp. Lungwort, but I think I will let the spider have it. Beauty observed from afar.
That's the end of the pictorial interest here for today. Just an autumn gossamer scene, a little less weird than yesterday's seeds and monarch (deceased). I saw a live monarch flitting around the purple buddleia flowers this afternoon while working doing very little. It is still not too late for the butterflies.
