When we were very young...

We used to fly around the country in an assortment of elderly vehicled. Many minis, in the days when a "Mini" meant it really was mini-ature. It seemed about half the size of the modern ones and a fraction the size of the small trucks "them over there" refer to as "Mini vans".

That was when you could fill the tank and take "the change in shots" for a fiver and drink driving wasn't aggin the law. I'm not saying we were all that boozy but sans doute illegal by modern standards.

An occasional saying, while whizzing along narrow lanes, was ...
"All we need now is to meet a foot high sports car." The kind of road I mean an American friend of mine, when visiting, once said "We have these in the States, we call them 'Driveways'. "

I think this must have been a foot-high-sports-car's convention. I'd love to know the total new value.

I've no idea what the 4th one is and it wasn't obliging enough to park snout out like the other three posers.
