Autumn at Pye Flatt Meadows

Inspired by a similar autumn collage that was shared by Dawn on Flickr, I thought I might create my own today. So after lunch with family I drove past Pye Flatt Meadow to see if there were any fungi in the hedgerows. Unfortunately not, but the day was glorious and there were lots of autumn fruits glowing in the hedgerows: crab-apples, red hawthorn , hips and Rowan tree berries and lots of luscious looking blackberries.

The meadow has now been cut and looks very different to the last time I was there. A beautiful blue sky day and the views back towards Emley Moor and Cannon Hall are stunning from there.
