Geese Going Forth

The sheer number of Pink-Footed Geese at Aberlady Bay at the moment is astonishing. Normally murmurations, such as this, are played out by teeny Starlings. But watching the geese wheel and turn, flipping over in mid-air surrounded by others, was great. Well worth going down (and I have to admit that the almost perfectly centred Forth Bridge in the background was a happy moment of serendipity).

Lots done once back, mainly with more of the outside of the house painted in anticipation of coming colder weather.

Mel got the bramble jelly into jars, and is currently fretting over whether it will set.
