Nudging...and nurdling

"Hi Dad, are you up to anything tonight? Do you fancy going to see a band singing songs about cricket?"

I was supposed to be going to the Glee Club in Birmingham tonight to see Duckworth Lewis Method with Rich. But Richypoos was feeling unwell so I had to find somebody else to go with.
Cue the conversation with my Dad above.
Dad decided that Duckworth Lewis Method was a much better bet than Downton Abbey -how right he was- and came along to see Neil Hannon (Divine Comedy) and Thomas Walsh (Pugwash) instead.
It was great gig and really fun, and I think Dad enjoyed it too despite not knowing (m)any of the songs.
