The Lozarithm Lens

Lacock

A favourite spot by the Avon at the bridge near to Lacock Abbey, taken at 1803 hr as I returned home. I often stop here in the hope of seeing a heron or a kingfisher - both of which have happened before - or even an otter, known to frequent this stretch. That has never happened, though.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Valentinos - It's All Over Now (1964)
Bobby Womack can be clearly heard on this single written by him and Shirley Jean Womack. It seems surprisingly obscure given that the Rolling Stones' cover, recorded at Chess in Chicago nine days after first hearing it was so hugely popular, giving them their first number one.
According to Wikipedia, "Bobby Womack said in an interview that he had told his manager he did not want the Rolling Stones to record their version of the song, and that he had told Mick Jagger to get his own song. His manager convinced him to let the Rolling Stones record the song. Six months later on receiving the royalty check for the song he told his manager that Mick Jagger could have any song he wanted."
