The Himba People

Backblip #11

The end of my time with EHRA is sadly drawing to a close. We made our way back to Swakopmund slowly along the dusty, bumpy road. But not before one final pit stop at the local Himba tribe's road side stall. We caught them by surprise - since we had already stopped here last week they weren't expecting us and you could see several woman running from their tents to man their tables! This group was a little more relaxed though! Usually they can see the cars coming from miles away and are standing ready and waiting beside the road trying to flag you down.

Tonight we have a big sit down dinner and drinks to celebrate our two weeks together before everybody goes their separate way. Some the crew are heading back out for another stint and others are heading onto other parts of Africa/Namibia.
