Wigton book festival

Curling for about five hours today then off to the Wigton book Festival.

We've been coming here for about 5 -6 years. One of the problems is that you need to book accomodation early, before the brochure is published, so you don't always know which authors or personalities are going to be here. We would have liked to have been here later in the week to see Fred MacAulay, Emily Mayhew and Peter Snow, but we have tickets to see other interesting authors. My husband chose Gavin Frances, now in Edinburgh, who is going to talk about his experiences as the doctor at an isolated Antartic research station; I chose Peter Conradi, author of the King's Speech, who has another book about King George VI's life; A friend chose Linda Porter who writes historical biographies, this time Mary Queen of Scots and we all chose A Bookshop Dinner. I'm sure they will all be interesting.

The blip is one of the coverings on the windows of the Town Hall in Wigton. The sentences read across all the windows.
