Visiting family in Altoona

Bob grew up in Altoona, a medium-sized city in central Pennsylvania. We left that area in the late sixties (c. 1967) to move to Ohio, but we made frequent visits to his family for many years. Today, when we go to visit them, we have to go to the cemetery because there are no living family members in the area. This year, on Memorial Day, Alison and Emmy went with us. We were joined by Bob's brother and Ann for the visit to cemetery. They live in Mifflinburg, and we don't see them often. After the cemetery, we made a stop in downtown Altoona for a lunch of Texas Hot Dogs. Anyone from the Altoona area probably knows what a mouth-watering event that is...Something to look forward to. The annual trip to Altoona is soul-satisfying and rewarding in many ways, despite the long drive there and back to Ohio.
