EdenProject

The trip to the Eden Project with my wife's school went very well. We got off the coaches and walked down the long hill to reception, where we were met by the Education People. They set out the day and from there we were up and running. Non-stop - into the tropical biome (the biggest one in the picture), walked round that fielding questions and pointing out information to some very thrilled children, whilst dodging ordinary members of the public.

We stayed in there a bit too long and had to rush round the Mediterranean Biome, then back to the education centre for lunch.

After lunch, an excellent workshop on how plants are used. There was a good trail set up round the biomes which involved solving puzzles, reading maps (to a six figure grid reference!) and then writing down information. This was all pulled together in the last session and then it was a route march back up the hill to the coaches.

The rain held off for most of the day, but needless to say, was at its heaviest when the childen were getting off the coaches to be picked up by their parents.

My wife and I were pretty brainless this evening. Looking forward to a shower and an early night.
