Hands to hold

Mr. L was too tired to eat lunch today, he just wanted to stay close to Laurie while the other children ate, either on her lap or just standing by her. He wasn't whiny or grumpy, just very quiet and pensive. He played with her hands for quite a while, in between her getting up to serve toast and sweet potato. She said last week they sat for a half hour or more while he played with her hands.

This sweet moment was preceded by him coming in and giving Mr. E and Ms. Z big hugs. Nothing like toddlers to bring you down to earth.
