MR. SPEEDY

I’ve tried for weeks to catch a photo of this speedy little guy. Two chipmunks live under our deck, and hear (or feel) every movement we make, so they are quick to dart away at even a hint of someone coming around. (They dash away even when we just move in our chairs at the kitchen table – with the window closed!) I got this shot from an upstairs window – just before he ran off. It looks like his little front leg is tucked tight against his chest – possibly from being so tense. I think chipmunks’ coloring is so striking – just wish he would stay still long enough to get a pretty photograph to show it.
