The Mall

Who needs malls when you have kiosks like this one? What CAN'T you find for your plumbing and electrical needs? And best of all, this is just on the road side!

People are still slightly hesitant to go to the shopping malls but with the event at Westgate nearly two weeks away, things slowly return to normal. But it is so disheartening to hear the reports coming after the incident. We hear of how the various arms of the military were not well coordinated. We hear that the forces may may have looted the shops during the 4 day siege (with one rumour going as far as to say stolen goods were smuggled out in body bags!!). So investigations will be done and the reports will be written...

But there are a few bright spots. Some of the people who rescued innocent civilians are being rewarded for courageous service to the nation. The Red Cross has held counselling sessions for hundreds of people and there is still a sense of strong national pride.
