Poppy Strewn Path

Today was one of those days when I felt distinctly over-dressed. Clothes-wise we are between seasons. I have not yet trusted the weather enough to put away my winter clothes and get out the summer gear. So walking through town wearing jeans this afternoon in the 24C heat was most uncomfortable.
The warm morning meant that the Californian Poppies along the Taylor River banks opened up nice and early. They are starting to make a great display with their bright orange petals dancing in the breeze.
I captured this particular scene back on the 11th of September before the poppies started to bloom. Less than one month later the tracks are so different and I think incredibly beautiful.
