Praying on a Sunday seems right even if I don't do it myself.

I spent a good couple of hours at the Mas this morning, and began by giving the flower garden an extra water since the rain the other day didn't amount to much. Then I moved down to the vegetable garden where I dug a square metre - which was enough for my back thank you - did loads of weeding, and inspected all the cabbages and broccoli for eggs and caterpillars. There were a lot of eggs, which I squashed with my muddy glove, but very few caterpillars. Well there wouldn't be, because all their siblings had been got rid of at egg stage.

I know, I know, it's not nice to kill things, but there's no point in us buying plug plants and then allowing them to be decimated!
