Across the river A6 and into past the trees, near the end of my walk this evening, postponed from this morning because of the torrential rain.

I went to the doctors this morning to ask him about a small patch of skin at the top of my nose and also ask about a tetanus booster. I like my doctor, he always seems very thorough, and he's sending me for various routine blood tests and wants me to do my blood pressure at home for about two weeks to get an average. I'm now officially under 10 stone in weight, as opposed to relying on the donated scales at the charity shop, the lightest I've been for a long time and which I put down to not buying cakes, biscuits and chocolate.

The rest of the day was spent in the shop and in town, and at home I potted up the pelargonium that's been in the border for the summer and brought it inside, the first frosts will kill it.
