PINK DAY 7 - WE LAUGH THROUGH UPS AND DOWNS

We blippers sometimes do silly things and I guess posting this at 2.40 in the morning is quite silly as things go, but I am wide awake and there is a good reason for this.

Our son and daughter-in-law have been away for a few days, which is why we have been looking after our grandchildren, but unfortunately, there was an issue with their plane on take-off in Marrakech, so they had to go back to the terminal and disembark. Consequently, instead of them being home just after midnight, we are still waiting for them to arrive - and they may be another hour or so - but hopefully, there won't be much traffic on the M25 at this time of the morning.

I have promised to support a friend of mine whose father's funeral is at 10.00 a.m. and then I am meeting another friend at 3.00 p.m. so doubt I will have much time to take a PINK photograph, so decided to blip another of my daughter-in-law's ornaments.

Of course, it had to be PINK - so here is Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, who is of course, PINK, having fun on a seesaw and the name of this one is "We Laugh Through Ups and Downs" which seems quite apt for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month challenge. When having treatment for any sort of cancer, there can be lots of ups and downs and I know that many people try to stay positive for themselves, which seems to help with their treatment, and also for their families too.

It reminded me of a verse:

Be cheerful no matter what;
pray all the time;
thank God no matter what happens.
This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
The Message

It's hard to be cheerful when you are feeling poorly - but I have two friends having treatment who are doing just that so I dedicate this blip to Karen and Ros, who are both an inspiration to many, and also to any others having treatment at the moment.

Don't forget to click here so that those who can't afford to pay can have a mammogram.

Have a great week, fellow blippers.

P.S. I don't like to say it, but Mr. HCB is stretched out on the sofa looking a bit like Winnie the Pooh on the teapot - but please don't tell him! zzzzz
