To Get in Logs

Most of our winter heating is now provided by two wood burning stoves.

When the weather is really cold one gets through a large quantity of timber. However to burn efficiently the wood does need to be dry and that usually means that it has been cut and split and in stacks for a couple of years.

What you see here is timber that still has to be cut up and split and so it will not be used for some time yet.

The dry timber for fuel this winter is already in the wood shed.
