Treasures #2 : Contents of the Blue Box

These are tools and some of the contents of the blue box. I say some of the contents because the eagle eyed amongst you will have already spotted four boxes at the back of the photo, their contents are amazing and will appear in a future blip.

As a taster to this mystery, the little round metal boxes at the front of the photo contain a selection of gemstones, which include Tigers Eye, Jasper and either Turquoise or a stone dyed to look like it!

On the stack of boxes are a set of dainty jewellery making pliers and a wire cutter. There's a magnifying glass on a stand with crocodile clips for holding wire or gemstones when making intricate pieces. There's an Iroda Micro heat gun which I'll have to find some instructions for use. Lots of files, soldering wire, large metal shears and assorted tools and implements.

At the very bottom of the box I found the very delicate necklace placed between the surgical type scissors. The large chunky necklace was also at the bottom of the box, under all the tools.

El P arrived at the crack of dawn this morning, well 8 o'clock! He worked through all sorts of weather, drizzly rain, sunshine, cloud, the wind picked up then dropped within a matter of minutes. The cement window surrounds facing the weather had to be chipped away and re-cemented. The plaster on the porch walls has also been removed and will be re-plastered tomorrow, weather permitting.

Between doing the laundry and cooking, I managed to make a necklace and start off another one - I will blip them before the end of the week! I sat outdoors for a while making jewellery, but the rain came and I went indoors to make some lunch. x
