Plan B

I bought a cookbook at a farmer's market in CT and planned to make a very interesting cabbage dish. I went out and got all the ingredients, including some expensive, dried, unsweetened cherries ($4.50- 1/4lb). I began cutting up the large cabbage and somehow the knife's edge glanced off the knuckle of my left pointer finger. A small "L" shaped chasm quickly emerged. This minor flesh wound was the result of exhaustion, hunger and the distraction of a phone conversation on top of a long, emotional weekend. After a friend from the hall helped me bandage the sucker up, I put aside the knife and called for delivery. Chinese food never tasted so good!
