bistro guillaume

Off for lunch in the city as a belated birthday treat for us both and what a treat.
Bistro Guillaume is one of a number of restaurants at the Crowne Casino in Perth and one of the most recent. My foodie friend S recommended it (and she is not shy about commenting on service and menu!) and we were not disappointed.

Mum had Marron (fresh water crayfish) in Paris butter followed by her all time fave duck comfit and I had escargot, then the marron and a crunchy pear salad
Someone must have heard our bubbly, birthday toast as pudding came out with 'Happy Birthday' written in chocolate on the plate :)

Rather than plumping for the usual food blip, this is a little taste of the funky decor on the decking which overlooks a very grand and blue pool.
Green, black and white is the theme inside and out and when the glass doors are opened completely the whole space becomes an airy, al fresco delight.
