Put Out to Pasture

I have only ridden a horse about ten times in my lifetime, usually only admiring them from afar. On my blip-seeking drive this evening I was drawn to this pasture of six horses. I have a feeling these two are probably pretty old, but don't know that for sure. I do know that the pasture belongs to a family who has been very active in the horse showing and racing circuit for at least 35 years. I liked this shot because these two horses walked very closely to each other the whole time I was visiting. They seemed very tender, I suppose because I imagined that they have been here together for a long time.
