Hanging around

An early morning blip today, when we still had sunshine. Since then it's been drizzling, mizzling for most of the day. Quite different to yesterday's heat, but excellent for the garden.

I bought a bird seed stick for the lorikeets at the weekend. As you can see, it's nearly all gone, and the lorries love it. So much so they are neglecting their regular seed. I think it's sweeter, with honey in it.

Did you know that lorikeets are monogamous and mate for life? In captivity they can live for up to 30 years (isn't that amazing), but in the wild it's more like 15 years. Which is still pretty amazing.
