City garden

This is one of my favourite gardens in summer, although with the change in the weather it was a tad chilly for sitting in today. Right on the edge of Edinburgh, and actually surrounded by houses, it feels totally private. I can't say it is silent, as it lies beneath the flightpath to Edinburgh Airport, but it is a lovely, restful space nonetheless.

Perhaps that's as much a function of its owners as anything else. Here's to next summer and a glass of bubbly before dinner!
