Not so long-long ago...not so far-far away...

Not so long-long ago...not so far-far away, there was a kingdom where people lived in fear and anxiety. Evil spirits ruled the town, which was once blessed with golden houses, healthy crops, beautiful women and handsome men. The town that had never seen any disease, where fairies used to kiss the kids goodnight, now wakes up every night at the faintest noise. During the day, people would keep their doors and windows closed, out of fear of getting killed by the evil spirits.

But then like every other good story, whenever the evil gets too evil, God sends his men to teach the evils a lesson. This time, it came in the form of a king. A king so brave that he was not afraid of the spirits. A king so strong that if he stepped too hard on the ground, he could make the earth lean on one side. Yet, a king so kind that he would watch every step of his, careful not to step on even an ant.

The king, with the help of his magician friend, built magical walls all around the city and secured the people under his care. He built watchtowers at the top of the hills and hideouts in the valley, from where his bravest soldiers would keep a watch on the city all day and all night. If any evil spirit tried to cross the magical wall of the fort, it turned into a stone due to the spell of the magician. The spirits started getting destroyed one by one, and the kingdom started to gain back its old glory. Trees started growing out of stones. Flowers started swaying to the butterflies' song of love. Children rediscovered their lost childhood. People learnt to smile and be happy again.

Legend has it that even today, centuries later, the king still visits the kingdom to ensure that his people are still under his care.

...and you said that you don't believe in spirits?
