Second attempt

A couple of weeks ago I blipped one of my other orchids here and promised a shot of this one when it finally bloomed... so here it is: a 7 layer focus stack. Given the terrible light this morning (rain was chucking down first thing) I really didn't think I would be able to manage this, but thankfully it brightened up enough around lunchtime.

As you can see, it's dripping with flowers, so simply choosing an angle was a bit of a challenge in the first place...

I wasn't able to use my usual white backing, so had to make to with the wall. I've tried to selectively desaturate the creaminess a bit and boost the pinks, but I'm not altogether happy with this. The plant is an even deeper pink! Oh well...
